Leather Maintenance Tips
For a long-lasting pleasure we recommend that you read the following hints of product care:
Leather is a natural product. It reacts on warmth, cold, dryness and dampness. Not taking care of leather (which is explosed to variations of body temerature and sweat) and not cleaning it will make it dull and rough, finally hard and cracked.
Therefore you should keep the following hints in your mind, so that you enjoy your leather wear for a long time:
- For slight spots and dirt marks the best would be a smooth and moist cloth with soap free of perfume.
- Persistent spots should be cleaned by special leather cleaners.
- Do not use aggressive cleaning agents like benzine or the like, since they may damage the leather surface.
- Moist leather clothes should not be put into the wardrobe. This will cause mildew and metal parts could get rusty.
- Leather wear should never be kept in plastic bags. This will cause mildew.
- Avoid heat, long-lasting solar radiation and strong moisture.
- From time to time treat the leather with a standard dubbin.
If you keep these tips in mind you will be able to enjoy your leather product for a long time.
